Manufacturers Embrace Nut-Based Flavors in New Product Launches
As the demand for nut-based flavors continues to rise, manufacturers are introducing innovative new products to cater to consumer preferences.
One such product is Seven Sundays’ PB Puffs, a peanut butter protein cereal that is set to hit the market soon. This cereal is packed with 10 grams of upcycled oat protein per serving, along with corn flour, and is sweetened with a blend of dates and maple syrup.
Another exciting launch comes from Ferrero North America, who is debuting a new Nutella flavor after six decades. The Nutella peanut flavor combines the creamy texture of Nutella with the rich taste of roasted peanuts, offering a unique twist on the classic spread.
Noah Szporn, senior vice president of spreads at Ferrero North America, expressed enthusiasm for the new flavor, stating, “Nutella peanut delivers the same creamy experience fans know and love, now blended with the irresistible taste of roasted peanuts. Our fans have been asking for this for years, and afternoon snack time will never be the same.”
Once Again is also joining the trend with the introduction of high-protein squeeze packs in their nut butter product lineup. Each single-serve pack contains 8 grams of protein and comes in four varieties: organic peanut, organic chocolate peanut, organic sunflower, and natural almond.
Sudheer Kosaraju, chief commercial officer at Once Again, highlighted the appeal of portable, high-protein snacks in the natural foods category. He stated, “These squeeze packs deliver the protein consumers want in a simple format that supports busy, active lifestyles — whether at the office, the gym, or on the trail.”
