Samsung is gearing up to release the highly anticipated One UI 8 Watch version, which promises to bring a host of exciting updates based on recent leaks. The new user interface for the Galaxy Watch series is set to introduce features like customizable watch faces, app shortcuts, and more. While it will retain the app icons from One UI 7, there will be some noticeable differences. Recent leaks now suggest that One UI 8 Watch may also introduce redesigned tiles for key Galaxy Watch applications.
One of the leaked tiles has provided insights into a new health feature that Samsung is currently working on for its smartwatches. According to a report by SammyGuru, the upcoming One UI 8 Watch will offer users the option to choose between two tile sizes for apps such as Samsung Health, Calendar, Weather, and others. The Fill Size tile will display information from the app across the entire watch screen, while the Half Size tile will showcase key information in a more condensed format.
Users will have the flexibility to combine two Half Size tiles to create a Full Size tile, allowing them to access essential health information without the need to swipe multiple times. This approach streamlines the user experience and makes it easier to view important data on the wearable device.
In addition to the revamped tiles, Samsung’s Antioxidant Index feature for Galaxy watches has also been unveiled through one of the leaked tiles. This feature is designed to measure beta-carotene levels and provide feedback in three categories – Low, Adequate, and Optimal. The leak also showcases refreshed tiles for other apps like Media Controller, Alarm, and Stopwatch, indicating Samsung’s commitment to enhancing the display of information on its smartwatches.
The new UI is expected to debut with the Galaxy Watch 8 series in Q3 of 2025, so users can look forward to experiencing these exciting updates soon. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available!
