In the realm of computer processors, Intel has long been known for its premium pricing compared to competitors like AMD. This trend seems to be continuing with price increases on select older models from Intel’s 12th, 13th, and 14th generations across global markets.

While not all regions may experience these price hikes, reports indicate that prices have indeed risen in several areas. This suggests that Intel may be gradually raising the cost of its older CPU technology worldwide. It is important to note that not every CPU from these older generations will see a price increase, and the extent of the increases may vary by region.

Recent data suggests that Intel CPU prices have been on the rise in Europe and Asia. The Guru of 3D has reported that prices for 12th to 14th Gen Intel CPUs have increased in countries like South Korea, Japan, Germany, and Spain. For instance, the Intel Core i5-12400F saw a significant price jump in South Korea, from 155,000 won to 177,000 won.

These price increases have been observed both online and through distributors, indicating that consumers may encounter higher prices for Intel CPUs in physical stores as well as online retailers. It is important to note that many of these price hikes stem from third-party resellers rather than official Intel stock, which could influence retail pricing overall.

As consumers navigate these shifting prices, it is advisable to compare prices across different retailers to find the best deal. Additionally, with future generations of Intel processors on the horizon, prices may fluctuate as seen with NVIDIA’s recent investments in the market. Stay informed and explore all options to make informed purchasing decisions.
