The Exynos 2600 chip has made a comeback on Geekbench, showcasing even more impressive results than before. This time around, it has outperformed both the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Apple A19 Pro chipsets in terms of speed and efficiency.

The latest benchmark results reveal that the Exynos 2600 achieved a score of 3,455 points in the single-core test and 11,621 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench. This marks the third appearance of the chip on the platform, with previous results being either inaccurate or slightly lower than the current scores.

Despite the significant improvements, the Exynos 2600 still falls slightly behind the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in performance. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 managed to score 3,832 points in the single-core test and 12,170 points in the multi-core test, albeit with a marginal difference.

While performance is crucial, the Exynos 2600’s optimization for power consumption and thermal management will be key factors for its success. To compete effectively, the chip must excel in these areas and match the capabilities of its competitors like the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and MediaTek Dimensity 9500.

The Exynos 2600 is anticipated to be Samsung’s first 2nm chip, setting it apart from the 3nm chips used by competitors. Reports suggest that the chip will likely be featured in a significant portion of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, although recent rumors have hinted at potential changes to this plan.

The potential integration of the Exynos 2600 in the Galaxy S26 series could be a contributing factor to Samsung’s rumored decision to delay the launch of the smartphones. Instead of a January release, the Galaxy S26 series is now expected to debut in late February or early March. This shift in timeline may indicate that Samsung is making strategic adjustments to ensure the best possible performance and user experience for its flagship devices.
