Exciting news for Samsung Galaxy S23 owners – the long-awaited software upgrade has finally arrived. Samsung has officially rolled out the first One UI 8 beta, offering users the opportunity to experience the next-generation software on their devices. This significant OS update is based on Android 16 and includes the September 2025 security patch.

One UI 8 Beta brings a fresh look and new features to your Samsung Galaxy S23. The beta version is packed with enhancements and a revamped, user-friendly design for your device. Quick Share now features a new full-screen interface, making it easier to share files with nearby devices. The Samsung Internet browser has undergone a redesign to improve access to frequently used features. Additionally, core apps like Weather and Reminders have received visual updates, enhancing the overall user experience.

For those who demand more from their devices, this update introduces notable multitasking improvements. The new Samsung DeX now supports external displays with additional rotation options, catering to productivity needs. Moreover, an enhanced split-screen view allows users to run one app in a mostly full-screen mode while keeping a second app open in a smaller window for seamless switching between them.

Beyond the surface changes, the update delves into deeper functionalities. Secure Folder now offers enhanced privacy features, including the ability to hide apps and suppress notifications when locked. The update also introduces a new voicemail feature for missed calls and improved accessibility tools, such as using a physical keyboard to control the mouse cursor.

The One UI 8.0 beta for Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra is currently available in select countries, with a potential expansion to other regions in the near future. Eligible users can enroll in the beta program by accessing the Samsung Members app and locating the program notice. Once enrolled, users can download the 3.1GB update and explore all the new features. Don’t forget to report any bugs encountered to assist Samsung in refining the final product.
