Prosciutto Crostini with Burrata





If you have a love for bruschetta and crostini, then these prosciutto crostini with burrata and a delightful lemon honey drizzle are sure to satisfy your cravings! With endless flavor possibilities to top a piece of crispy bread, this appetizer is a fun and exciting dish to prepare.

These crostini come together effortlessly in just 15 minutes! Start by toasting the baguette slices under the broiler and then gather your ingredients: a zesty lemon honey drizzle sauce, creamy burrata cheese, and crispy prosciutto pieces. Delicious!

Instructions for Making Prosciutto Crostini with Burrata

Ingredients Needed

  • 1 baguette, sliced diagonally into at least 12 crostini
  • Olive oil
  • ½ lemon, freshly squeezed
  • ¼ cup honey
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 slices prosciutto, torn into large pieces
  • 8 oz. burrata, sliced
  • Microgreens, for garnish

Directions

  1. Preheat the broiler to high. Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and toast in the oven for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  2. While the bread is toasting, mix together the lemon juice and honey in a small bowl until well combined. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper, stirring to blend.
  3. Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the baking sheet. Add the prosciutto to the baking sheet and toast under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until crispy.
  4. To assemble, place a slice of burrata on each crostini. Top with a few pieces of crispy prosciutto and microgreens. Drizzle with the honey lemon sauce and serve. Enjoy!

Notes:

  • Don’t underestimate the power of a simple honey drizzle to elevate basic ingredients into something extraordinary. The honey adds a natural sweetness that complements the other flavors. Consider using creamy whipped honey, but apply a small amount directly to the crostini instead of drizzling on top.
  • Allow the burrata to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving to ensure it is soft and creamy. If it’s too cold, it may not spread or melt as nicely on the crostini.
