Google is already gearing up for the launch of the Pixel 10, as leaks from an ad shoot for the upcoming device have started surfacing. The leaks, courtesy of a post by MarksGonePublic on X, which has since been deleted, were captured by 9to5Google before disappearing. The photos from the shoot include a storyboard confirming that the device in question is indeed the Google Pixel 10.
According to the user who shared the information, the ad shoot was for a commercial promoting the Pixel 10 with the tagline “Ask more of your phone.” This slogan hints at potential new AI features, following Google’s recent announcement of updates to Gemini at Google I/O.
Examining the images from the shoot, it’s clear that the Pixel 10 closely resembles its predecessor, the Pixel 9 Pro. The addition of a third camera lens and the placement of the power button and volume rocker remain unchanged. The color showcased in the photos is likely the black or Obsidian variant, although Google typically offers a range of colors including Obsidian, Porcelain, and two others like Peony and Wintergreen in the previous year.
The anticipated launch window for the Pixel 10 series is around August, mirroring the timeline of the Pixel 9 series last year. This early leak of the commercial shoot is a surprising development in the realm of smartphone rumors and leaks, which typically involve stolen devices, factory leaks, or premature reviews. The Pixel 10 leak offers a unique glimpse into Google’s marketing plans well ahead of schedule.
