In this era, women are showcasing their diverse talents and skills while managing both their personal and professional lives with grace. However, the modern lifestyle and stressful environments have led to significant health issues affecting women worldwide. These include cardiovascular diseases, breast cancer, polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD), osteoporosis, depression, stroke, obesity, hypertension, and diabetes.

The root causes of these health issues in women can be attributed to hormonal imbalances in the endocrine system leading to PCOD, complicated pregnancies, and weight gain. Sedentary lifestyles and poor eating habits also contribute to cardiovascular diseases and osteoporosis.

To combat these health issues, women should focus on maintaining healthy eating habits, engaging in regular physical exercise, getting adequate sleep, and incorporating yoga into their daily routine. Yoga, known for its holistic benefits, can help women improve their physical and mental well-being, energy levels, and self-esteem.

Several studies have highlighted the various benefits of yoga for women, including lowering blood pressure, cholesterol levels, reducing the risk of heart disease, managing pain (such as back pain and arthritis), alleviating stress and depression, addressing PMS symptoms, boosting metabolism, aiding in weight management, improving sleep quality, enhancing sexual health, and supporting recovery during and after breast cancer treatment.

It is never too late for women to start practicing yoga. Beginning with sun salutations (Surya Namaskar) and incorporating forward bends, twists, inversions, and backward extensions can help women experience significant health benefits. However, it is essential to practice caution and seek guidance from a qualified yoga instructor to avoid injuries and maximize the benefits of yoga practice.
