Samsung Unpacked events are highly anticipated, bringing a plethora of Galaxy-related news and introducing new devices ranging from phones to tablets to smartwatches.
It has been some time since the last Unpacked event in January for the Galaxy S25 series, signaling that another event is on the horizon.
Here’s what we know about the upcoming Samsung Unpacked 2025 launch event, including a potential date and the anticipated product launches.
When is the next Samsung Unpacked launch event?
The next Unpacked event by Samsung is widely speculated to take place in July, with potential dates in ‘early’ and ‘mid’ July being discussed.
It is highly likely that the event will be held in New York.
A specific date of 13 July has been suggested, coinciding with Samsung’s Galaxy Health events in New York City. However, Samsung has not officially confirmed the date yet.
Historically, Samsung has held Unpacked events in the following months:
- January: For Galaxy S flagship phones
- July: For Galaxy Z phones and Galaxy Watch smartwatches
- September: For Galaxy Tab tablets
What will Samsung launch at the next Unpacked?
Fans can expect an exciting lineup of new Galaxy phones and smartwatches at the upcoming Unpacked event.
Rumors abound that Samsung will introduce multiple gadgets at the July Unpacked event, possibly six or more.
Galaxy Z Fold 7

The highlight of the event will likely be the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung’s latest flagship foldable phone.
Following the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Z Fold 7 is expected to feature enhancements in AI, cameras, and the cover screen.
Although initially teased with the ‘Ultra’ branding, similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it is now speculated that Samsung will not include this in the model name.

There are two new Z Flip phones on the horizon, offering the latest in clamshell-style foldables from Samsung.
The Galaxy Flip 7 will be the flagship model with larger screens inside and out, while the Flip FE will be the first ‘fan edition’ foldable from Samsung, likely to offer similar specs and features to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 at a more affordable price.
Galaxy Watch 8 series

Samsung typically unveils new flagship wearables in the summer, and the Galaxy Watch 8 series is no exception.
Anticipated models include the regular Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, the first Classic model since the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, following a two-year refresh cycle.
Both models are expected to feature a ‘squircle’ design language inspired by the original Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Galaxy Watch Ultra 2

This brings us to the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, or potentially the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025, should Samsung opt for the year in the name.
While there were speculations that Samsung might wait longer than a year to update this smartwatch, it appears increasingly likely that it will make an appearance at the July Unpacked event.
Rumors have been circulating, including a leaked image of the device. If accurate, it appears identical to the Galaxy Watch Ultra but in a blue colorway, prompting expectations for substantial upgrades beyond aesthetics.

Android Headlines
One UI 8 and Project Moohan
If Samsung manages to include additional announcements, it is likely to involve One UI 8, the upcoming major version of Samsung’s operating system that will be available as a free upgrade for phones, tablets, and wearables. Currently in beta.
Another potential reveal is Project Moohan, Samsung’s Android XR headset, which may receive further updates after being showcased throughout 2025.
What we don’t expect to see at the next Unpacked
While the upcoming Unpacked event promises a lot, there are a few devices that are unlikely to make an appearance (though never say never).
The Galaxy Tab S11 series of tablets is unlikely, as Samsung shifted the launch from July to September with the Galaxy Tab S10 series. This trend is expected to continue in 2025.
There are no expectations for new Galaxy A phones. The Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 are already on the market,
