The compact tablet market has been overlooked for quite some time, but OnePlus is set to make a splash with its new offering. Reports suggest that OnePlus will soon release a flagship tablet with an OLED display that will be available globally.
OnePlus has recently introduced larger tablets like the OnePlus Pad 4 and the budget-friendly Pad Go 2, both of which feature standard IPS LCD panels. However, the company has been teasing the community with hints of an “OLED or Nothing” viewing experience, and now industry insiders have shared more details.
According to a tip from Abhishek Yadav, the upcoming tablet will sport an ultra-thin 8.8-inch OLED screen, making it a direct competitor to popular devices like the iPad Mini. Despite its slim 5.5 mm profile, the tablet is expected to house a large 8,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging and be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. Additionally, users can look forward to LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for optimal performance.
While the device will carry the OnePlus branding globally, it is likely a rebranded version of the OPPO Pad Mini that recently launched in China. Both tablets share the same internal hardware, including the 8.8-inch display and flagship processor, with the main differences being in aesthetics and regional software variations.
The strategy of rebranding devices has proven successful for OnePlus in the past, allowing them to efficiently bring premium technology to international markets. The original OnePlus Pad was essentially a replica of the Chinese OPPO Pad 3, showcasing the company’s ability to cater to a global audience effectively.
Although official pricing has not yet been disclosed, the tablet is currently in the testing phase and is expected to be officially unveiled globally in the first half of 2026. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new offering from OnePlus.
