Samsung has introduced a fresh update to its default Weather app, bringing significant changes to the app’s user interface. This latest version is now available for all Galaxy phones, including the latest Galaxy S26 series, with a focus on enhancing visual clarity and usability.

The most noticeable updates can be seen in the redesigned cards within the app. The Pollen section now features distinct icons for tree, grass, and ragweed pollen, replacing the older translucent leaf symbol. These new visuals make it easier for users to identify allergens quickly, although the intensity levels may not be as clearly conveyed through the new designs.

Additionally, the Wind and Pressure cards have also received updated graphics. While the new look adds a modern touch, some users may prefer the previous version for its clearer text emphasis. Samsung seems to be balancing aesthetics and usability with these changes. While the updated graphics may not immediately appeal to everyone, they may grow on users over time.

The new UI places a strong emphasis on layout efficiency and interactive features. The Moon card now displays moonrise and moonset times side by side, making better use of space and allowing users to access key information more quickly without unnecessary scrolling.

One of the more functional upgrades can be found in the Radar section. Quick-access icons for forecast, radar, clouds, and temperature now appear at the bottom of the map, providing users with easy access to detailed radar views powered by The Weather Channel. This update is gradually rolling out to all eligible Galaxy smartphones, so most users should have access to the latest version in the coming days.

Overall, Samsung’s Weather app update brings improved graphics, a better layout, and enhanced radar features, catering to users who value both aesthetics and functionality in their weather app experience.
