Samsung has recently expanded its One UI 8.5 beta program to include a range of older Galaxy devices, providing users with access to new features and enhancements. Previously limited to newer models like the Galaxy S25 and Z Fold/Flip 7 series, the beta program now includes devices such as the Galaxy S24, Tab S11, and Z 6 foldables.
According to reports from Tech Advisor, the beta introduces several improvements, including enhanced Bixby functionality, an upgraded Weather widget, and a Storage Share feature. Users in the UK, India, Korea, and the US can access the beta through the Samsung Members app.
In addition to the expanded beta program, Samsung is set to launch the stable version of One UI 8.5 in April, starting with the S25 models. This release will bring the new features to a broader base of Galaxy users.
The older Samsung Galaxy devices now eligible for the One UI 8.5 beta program include the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy S24 FE, and Galaxy Tab S11. Samsung has also announced plans to extend the beta program to more devices in April.
If you own one of these devices and are located in the UK, India, Korea, or the US, you can participate in the beta program by downloading the latest version of One UI 8.5 through the Samsung Members app. This update includes enhancements such as improved Bixby features, an upgraded Weather widget, and the ability to wirelessly browse files stored on other Samsung devices using Storage Share.
