PepsiCo, Inc. is launching a protein variety under its popular Doritos brand. The new Doritos Protein chips are formulated with 10 grams of protein per serving, casein, and nine essential amino acids. Available in nacho cheese and tangy barbecue flavors, these protein-packed chips aim to provide consumers with a convenient way to incorporate protein into their snacking routine.
Hernán Tantardini, chief marketing officer for PepsiCo Foods US, highlighted the company’s commitment to meeting evolving consumer preferences. He stated, “Seventy percent of consumers desire protein in their salty snacks, and we are now making it more accessible and seamlessly integrated into everyday snacking occasions without compromising the distinctive Doritos experience.”
Rebbl Introduces Clear Protein Beverages
Systm Foods is expanding its Rebbl brand with the introduction of clear protein beverages. These zero sugar drinks offer 20 grams of whey protein, along with essential electrolytes such as potassium, magnesium, and sodium. Available in flavors like mixed berry, lemon lime, strawberry watermelon, and mandarin orange, Rebbl clear protein beverages aim to provide consumers with a light and refreshing protein option throughout the day.
Elizabeth Stephenson, CEO of Systm Foods, emphasized the unique offering of Rebbl clear protein beverages, stating, “For too long, protein has been associated with heavy shakes that resemble meals rather than beverages. Rebbl clear protein breaks that mold by delivering complete protein in a refreshing, zero sugar drink that consumers will enjoy reaching for throughout the day.”
Premier Protein Launches Coffeehouse Line
BellRing Brands, Inc. is expanding its Premier Protein brand with the introduction of the Coffeehouse line. These protein shakes offer the caffeine equivalent of one cup of coffee, along with 30 grams of protein and 24 essential vitamins and minerals. With flavors like mocha and caramel macchiato, the Coffeehouse line aims to provide consumers with a convenient and energizing protein option.
