Despite past disappointments with release date predictions for Samsung’s double-hinged foldable devices, a new report from South Korea’s reputable publication, The Chosun Daily, suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will finally make its debut on December 5th. The report indicates that Samsung is currently in the final stages of preparations, including planning a public unveiling event, with sales expected to kick off immediately after the launch.
A reliable source, Evan Blass, has also shared some confirmed details about the device, including its official retail branding as the Galaxy Z TriFold. According to Blass, the phone will sport a 6.5-inch cover display and a 10-inch internal screen, boasting peak brightness levels of 2600 and 1600 nits, respectively. What sets the TriFold apart is its unique design, with three distinct ‘leaves’ of varying thicknesses – 3.9mm, 4.0mm, and 4.2mm.
The main camera on the Galaxy Z TriFold will feature an impressive 200MP sensor, similar to that found on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. In terms of battery capacity, the TriFold is equipped with a robust 5,437mAh battery, surpassing the capacity of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
While the specific Snapdragon processor powering the device remains undisclosed, it is speculated to be either the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or the older Snapdragon 8 Elite model found in previous Samsung models.
