Leftovers are a regular feature where we explore various product ideas that are making waves in the market. Some are intriguing, some are innovative, and some are just downright unique. With the plethora of pitches we receive, we can’t cover everything, so here are some interesting tidbits that caught our eye.

Icee, the iconic movie theater treat, has made its way into grocery stores with a new collaboration with the better-for-you brand No Cap. Together, they have created a canned soda inspired by Icee’s most popular flavors. These drinks, set to launch nationwide in January, boast added electrolytes, zero sugar, zero caffeine, and zero calories. Available in 16-ounce cans and 7.5-ounce minis in variety packs, the collaboration also includes seasonal flavors for a unique twist.

Elisha Joffee, a partner at Design Plus representing the Icee brand, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating that it embodies the essence of modern beverage innovation. The aim is to cater to a new kind of soda consumer who values flavor and enjoyment without compromising on health.

In a similar vein, Sour Punch Straws is embracing the pickle trend with its new Sour Punch Pickle Straws. What started as an April Fool’s joke in 2023 garnered positive feedback, leading to the development of this unique product. Despite the saturation of pickle-flavored offerings in the market, Sour Punch believes its sweet and sour blend will set it apart and provide consumers with a fresh way to enjoy the trend.

Boston Beer, known for its craft beers, has pushed the boundaries with its latest release, Utopias 2025. This barrel-aged beer boasts an impressive 30% alcohol by volume, making it one of the strongest brews to date. Priced at $240 and packaged in individually numbered ceramic vessels, Utopias 2025 represents Boston Beer’s commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.

The lengthy production process involves brewing, fermentation, and barrel aging before the final blend is bottled. While legal in 35 states, Utopias 2025 is banned in 15 states due to their ABV limits for beer. Despite this setback, Boston Beer continues to push the envelope in the world of craft brewing.

Overall, these product collaborations and innovations showcase the ever-evolving landscape of the food and beverage industry, catering to a diverse range of consumer preferences and tastes. Whether it’s nostalgic treats reinvented with a healthy twist or boundary-pushing craft beers, these offerings are sure to intrigue and delight consumers looking for something new and exciting.
