Samsung Unveils Galaxy XR as Apple Vision Pro Rival
After much anticipation, Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy XR as its competitor to the Apple Vision Pro. However, it seems that the UK market may miss out on this new release. Project Moohan, which was first introduced back in January, has now materialized into the Galaxy XR.
The first Google Android XR has been revealed at a Galaxy Event dedicated to this wearable headset. Many Android enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the release of an Android version of the Vision Pro, and the Galaxy XR is the answer to their prayers.
Unfortunately, the Galaxy XR is only set to launch in the US and Korea initially. There is no confirmation yet on whether the Extended Reality headset will be available in the UK market. Priced at $1,800 in the USA, the Galaxy XR is a significant investment but still half the price of Apple’s offering. Samsung may be gauging the response and sales in these markets before considering a wider release.

We have reached out to Samsung for more information on the UK release but do not expect any additional details beyond what has already been disclosed.
It is disappointing that the Galaxy XR may not be available in the UK, especially considering the anticipation surrounding the device and the limited hands-on experiences at events like the Snapdragon Summit.
The Galaxy XR boasts two 4K screens and an impressive 10 cameras for tracking. Powered by Qualcomm’s XR2+ Gen 2 chip, the headset is capable of running any Android app seamlessly.
While we hope for a UK launch of the Galaxy XR, Samsung has also hinted at working on AI glasses, which could have a broader market reach and easier launch.
