Apple Introduces Customizable Liquid Glass Feature in Latest Update
Apple has recently unveiled a new feature that allows users to personalize their experience with Liquid Glass. In the latest beta update for iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26, users now have the option to choose between a Clear or Tinted appearance for Liquid Glass.

The new feature, discovered by 9to5Mac, is available in iOS 26.1 beta 4 and the corresponding updates for tablets and desktops. Users can access the customization option through the “Display & Brightness” menu on iOS devices and the “Appearance” menu on Mac systems.
While some users had requested a slider for more precise opacity control, Apple has opted for a simple toggle between Clear and Tinted settings. This decision streamlines the user experience and enables developers to test their apps under different visibility conditions.
Developers who have integrated Liquid Glass into their apps will automatically apply the user’s chosen preference. This feature is currently available for testing in the 26.1 developer beta.

Upon selecting their preferred setting, users will notice changes across various interface elements, including Now Playing controls, Lock Screen notifications, and both Apple and third-party apps.
