Alec’s Ice Cream Raises $11 Million in Series A Round
Alec’s Ice Cream, a company known for its A2 regenerative ice cream marketed as organic, has recently secured $11 million in a Series A funding round. This funding, led by Imaginary Ventures, will enable the Petaluma, California-based company to expand its reach, enhance its Culture Cup product line, increase its manufacturing capacity, and grow its team.
Founder and CEO of Alec’s Ice Cream, Alec Jaffe, stated that a portion of the funds will also be allocated towards strengthening regenerative supply chains. The company’s Culture Cup line, which launched in April 2025, was introduced in response to the increasing demand for healthier indulgences.
Alec’s Culture Cup features single-serve, pre-and probiotic ice cream cups topped with chocolate and made with grass-fed regenerative A2 dairy. The ingredients include skim milk, cream, chocolatey shell, cane sugar, egg yolks, and various fibers and cultures. Flavors offered include Madagascar vanilla bean, dark chocolate honeycomb crunch, peanut butter cup, mint chocolate cookie, and chocolate covered strawberry.
According to Jaffe, consumers were seeking a treat that was not only delicious but also portion-friendly, gut-friendly, and environmentally conscious. In addition to the Culture Cup, Alec’s Ice Cream offers pint-sized ice cream in a variety of flavors such as pistachio crunch with graza, brown butter peach cobbler, and maple cardamom candied pecan.
In 2022, Alec’s Ice Cream raised $3.75 million from investors including Michael Meldman, Vinny Smith, Mark Silverman, and Anthony Corsaro. The company, founded in 2018 and officially launched in 2020, has a strong focus on sustainability.
Jaffe shared that his inspiration for starting Alec’s Ice Cream stemmed from his childhood experiences making ice cream for a school project and spending time on sustainable farmland. The company’s mission is to create ice cream that not only tastes great but also supports soil health, biodiversity, and carbon drawdown.
By prioritizing taste, health, and environmental impact, Alec’s Ice Cream aims to provide consumers with a rich, creamy indulgence that is not only delicious but also beneficial for both people and the planet.
